Since 2011, 20 Cavendish Square has been offering event hosting quality without compromise. We operate as a not-for-profit, with all revenue used to support the work of the Royal College of Nursing.
20 Cavendish Square has been a part of London’s story for over 300 years. The Georgian townhouse on the corner of Cavendish Square has hosted politicians, pioneers, and nursing leaders. Today, it operates as a not-for-profit, with all revenue used to support the work of the Royal College of Nursing.
Located in the heart of London’s West End, 20 Cavendish Square places you moments from Oxford Circus, Soho and Mayfair. It’s a setting that feels both prestigious and effortlessly connected, making it ideal for events that need a central yet impressive London location.
The Grade II building has been meticulously restored to balance its original architecture with everything a modern venue needs. Period features and natural daylight, alongside flexible room layouts and a dedicated in-house AV team that knows the building inside and out, make 20 Cavendish Square one of the most distinctive venues in West End London.

Step inside 20 Cavendish Square and the architecture does the work before anyone says a word. The painted staircase, climbing past murals, has been here since the eighteenth century, when the square itself was being laid out as one of the most prestigious addresses in the new West End. Original stained-glass throws colour across the walls. The rooms are generously proportioned, high-ceilinged, and flooded with natural light from windows that look out across the garden square and the Georgian terraces beyond.

This is a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, nearly 300 years old, on the corner of one of London’s most distinguished addresses. It has been meticulously restored so that the period detail works for you rather than against you. Rooms are configured for boardroom meetings and open out for standing receptions. The same space that seats forty for a conference can host a hundred and twenty for a drinks reception. A building this characterful could easily be impractical, but 20 Cavendish Square isn’t.
Across 14 flexible spaces, from the grandeur of Cowdray Hall to the intimacy of the smaller named rooms, the Square accommodates conferences, boardroom meetings, workshops, drinks receptions, private dining, and hybrid events. Each room has its own atmosphere and looks out onto a part of London that has been at the centre of public life for centuries.

20 Cavendish Square is the headquarters of the Royal College of Nursing, the professional body representing nurses. That history is present in the building itself, the room names, the portraits, and the care with which the space has been maintained.
Every pound of revenue generated here goes directly to the Royal College of Nursing. The RCN supports more than half a million nursing professionals, advocating for their rights, funding their development, and shaping the policies that affect patient care across the country. So, when you host your event here, you’re not just getting a room in W1. You’re contributing to something that matters.

Three things make an event work: a space that earns its place in the diary, technology that doesn't let you down on the day, and food that people talk about afterwards. 20 Cavendish Square has all three managed under one roof.

Fourteen rooms across a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse, each with its own character and its own story. There are rooms for workshops, breakouts, private dining, and drinks receptions. Layouts are flexible across theatre, cabaret, boardroom, and reception configurations, and our team will help you find the right configuration for what you need.

Our in-house AV team are a permanent part of the venue, not contractors brought in on the day. They've set up in every room, troubleshot every connection, and run hybrid events across the building hundreds of times. 4K video conferencing, PTZ cameras, wireless presentation systems, and fast, reliable connectivity are all standard.

Food and drink is handled by Green & Fortune, our independent London hospitality company and B Corp-certified partner. The menus are seasonal, freshly prepared onsite, and sourced in part from independent British producers or their own farm in Northumberland.
Events go well when the people behind them know what they're doing. Our venue team has years of experience across conferences, corporate dinners, multi-day meetings, and everything in between.

If you've got an event in mind or want to see the building before you commit, we'd like to hear from you. The team can talk you through availability, room configurations, catering options, and anything else you need to decide. There's no obligation at the enquiry stage. A site visit takes about an hour and gives you a much clearer picture of what the venue can do for your event.
