Expert Guided Tours

Led by the library and museum experts at the Royal College of Nursing, our guided tours offer a fascinating journey through history, architecture, and nursing heritage. Guests will explore the building in small groups, uncovering stories and sights that make this venue truly unique.

• A walk through our 18th-century townhouse, featuring the stunning 1730s mural staircase.
• Stories from the building’s past, including its time as the residence of Prime Minister Herbert Henry Asquith.
• A look into the founding of the Royal College of Nursing in 1916 and the opening of our headquarters in 1926.
• A visit to the Library and Museum exhibitions, showcasing artworks, historical artefacts, and the evolution of nursing.

• Tours are bookable in conjunction with venue hire at 20 Cavendish Square.

Pricing:

Monday – Friday 9am-5pm: £90 per tour

Monday – Friday 5pm-7pm and Saturdays: £125 per tour

• Each tour can accommodate a group of 13 people
• Tours run between 9am – 7pm Monday – Friday and 10am – 5pm on Saturdays
• To accommodate additional visitors we can run a maximum of 3 simultaneous tours between 9 – 5pm Monday – Friday
• We cannot offer simultaneous tours on weekday evenings or Saturdays

Terms and Conditions

Tours must be booked at least one month in advance and are subject to staff availability.

• Cancellations:
  • Up to 7 days before: No charge
  • Less than 7 days: 50% of the tour fee
  • Less than 24 hours: Full tour fee applies
